Our Story

A small salon
with a personal hand.

Lisa's Nails is a neighborhood nail studio tucked into South Congress, built around one simple promise — take the time to do it right, every time you sit down in the chair.

Where it began

A studio built around people, not turnover.

Tucked into the corner of South Congress, Lisa's Nails grew from a simple idea — that a nail appointment should feel like an escape, not an errand. The kind of place where the lighting is soft, the chair fits right, and the person across the table actually looks at your hands before she picks up a brush.

Lisa runs the studio herself, and most days she's the one at the table. Clients book months ahead for her builder gel sets, her cat-eye finishes, and the artwork she draws freehand off a photo on a phone. New clients come in for a single appointment and walk out asking when she'll fit them in next.

We stay small on purpose. A short list of services, done slowly, with the attention each one deserves. That's the entire idea behind the name on the door.

What we believe

Three words on the wall: Care. Glow. Style.

Everything we do at the salon comes back to these. Not a slogan — a checklist for how every appointment should feel by the time you walk out the door.

Care

Your hands and feet deserve the best care. From gentle cuticle treatment to nourishing finishes, we work slowly, professionally, and with health and beauty equally in mind.

Glow

Let your nails radiate beauty and elegance. Whether it's a simple polish or a full set of enhancements, we finish until they glow — every edge clean, every coat even.

Style

Show off your personality. Choose from a wide range of designs, colors, and trends — or hand us a photo and we'll draw it freehand. Your nails should sound like you.

The hand on the brush

When you book Lisa's Nails, Lisa is the one across the table.

That sounds obvious — but in a strip-mall nail world full of revolving chairs and twenty-minute turnarounds, it isn't. Lisa runs a small, careful book. She'll quote you honestly on the phone, talk through what you want when you sit down, and take the time to get it right even if it means staying late.

She built her reputation on builder gel, intricate cat-eye finishes, and custom freehand art — but the heart of the business is the slower, simpler stuff. A clean shape. Healthy cuticles. A pedicure that actually feels like a pedicure.

In the chair

What it feels like to sit down with us.

We've tried to make every part of the visit deliberate — from the moment you walk through the door to the way we wrap up. Less rush, more attention. Below is what to expect when you come in for the first time.

  1. 1

    Honest welcome

We talk through what you want, what the nails will hold, and what it'll cost — before any color comes out.

  2. 2

    Slow prep

Cuticle work, shaping, and a clean foundation come first. Pretty isn't pretty for long without it.

  3. 3

    Your design, our hand

Hand over a Pinterest pic or describe a vibe. We'll draw, paint, and finish until it's the version you actually wanted.

  4. 4

    Finishing touches

Cuticle oil, a final clean-up pass, and a quick care chat so the set lasts the way it should.

Lisa has done it again! Came in last minute for a Christmas set and this might be my favorite yet! I showed her a photo and her design came out even better. She is so artistically talented and so fast and professional. On top of doing a fabulous job, Lisa stayed 45 mins late to finish my set and gave me some cuticle oil to take home as a Christmas gift.

My 1st time here with Lisa — and I'm thrilled to no end. She did an outstanding job. My nails never looked so good. This is a very nice, clean place. The staff is so helpful and patient. I will drive from Leander to Austin for my next nail appointment!

I had such a wonderful experience at Lisa's nails! Lisa and the other nail techs are very friendly. She did a great job with my manicure — I appreciate the attention to detail and not rushing to finish my nails. They offer builder gel which I recently tried & 10/10 recommend!

Lisa is so sweet and so quick. She recommended the builder gel to grow my nails underneath and help them get strong. Love the cat eye look — they have all types of designs for a good price!
